Founded in 1979, The Women’s Center promotes the individual and collective empowerment of the diverse community of women and girls in the Triangle area in North Carolina. Utilizing a small staff and network of dedicated volunteers, they strive to provide an atmosphere of trust and acceptance where women can learn from each other.

The Center provides financial, legal, career, adolescent, education, support and referral services. Among their financial services, the Center provides individual financial counseling, a home ownership program and individual development account, and financial literacy workshops.
