LEARNING SUITE: SPECIAL EDITION
AWARE is a national education campaign with a singular goal of building a greater understanding among consumers about how the vehicle financing process works.
Welcome to our Special Edition November E-Newsletter!
AWARE Launches Learning Suite in Time for AFCPE Conference
The new AWARE "Auto Financing Learning Suite" was unveiled at the 23rd Annual Conference of the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE) in San Antonio, Texas this November. AFCPE is a professional organization focused on supporting, promoting and advancing the field of financial counseling and planning education. The conference was attended by top financial literacy educators from the across the country.
The Learning Suite is a new online resource that provides consumers with information about the auto financing process and a collection of important tools. This free resource – completely absent of advertising, lead-generating marketing tools, or sales of any products or services – is perhaps the only collection of auto financing educational resources on the Internet housed under one e-roof. It is accessible through the AWARE website at http://www.AutoFinancing101.org/LearningSuite.

The new AWARE Auto Financing Learning Suite includes four sections, each providing consumers with different tools:
 |
Articles, Brochures and Other Helpful Resources
Consumers can download materials such as a quick reference wallet card on auto financing, tips, and a number of articles on various aspects of the vehicle financing process. AWARE also provides a glossary of common auto financing terms, and links to guides on vehicle leasing and credit reports. |
 |
Calculators and Interactive Learning
Consumers have access to a collection of powerful interactive tools, including AWARE’s new “Affordability Gauge,” a unique interactive tool that helps consumers compare real costs of owning and operating various vehicles, and assistance in calculating savings for vehicle down payments. Consumers can also take AWARE's “Auto Financing Tune Up” Online Quiz, or use various calculators to get sample monthly payment figures. |
 |
Downloadable Worksheets
Consumers can download and print worksheets to help them complete a monthly budget and compare financing rate quotes from multiple lenders. |
 |
Resources for Young Adults, Teachers & First Time Car Buyers
Young car buyers can download AWARE articles geared towards their concerns. AWARE also provides visitors with links to financial literacy guides for young adults from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the National Council of Economic Education. |
